After supporting NRL Cowboys House as a Bed Donor since 2024, Chubb Fire & Security has expanded its commitment as a Friend of the Foundation.
Operating across Townsville and North Queensland, Chubb provides fire, security and monitoring solutions to businesses, organisations and critical infrastructure throughout the region.
We sat down with Chubb Fire & Security's Regional ES Manager FNQ Pam Bentley to talk about the partnership, the moments that have stayed with her, and what excites her most about supporting NRL Cowboys House.

What motivated Chubb Security to deepen its involvement with NRL Cowboys House?
Our decision to come on board as a Friend of the Foundation has been driven by our team's genuine passion for the work being done at NRL Cowboys House.
We have always felt incredibly welcomed at events and consistently leave with a greater understanding of the impact the House is making.
Strengthening our commitment reflects our recognition of the important work being done to develop young Indigenous people, which strongly aligns with Chubb's own focus on leadership development and community investment.
What has stood out most to you during your involvement with the House?
The dedication of the team and the impact they have on students is both inspiring and infectious.
Every interaction reinforces the importance of the program and the opportunities it creates for young people.
Seeing the confidence, growth and aspirations of students develop over time has been incredibly rewarding.
Why is it important for Chubb to support programs like NRL Cowboys House?
For us, it's about creating meaningful connections with communities and helping young people see what's possible for their future.
Many of our team members work in the same communities the students come from, so there is a genuine connection there.
Supporting the House allows us to strengthen those relationships while contributing to something that is making a real difference.
How have students engaged with Chubb through the partnership?
One of the highlights has been participating in the annual NRL Cowboys House Career Day.
It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with students, share insights into our industry and provide hands-on experiences that help bring different career pathways to life.

What opportunities exist within Chubb that students can consider when planning their career pathways?
We see great opportunities to connect students with potential career pathways at Chubb by sharing insights into the diverse roles available across our business.
This includes apprenticeships in both the fire and security industries, as well as exposing students to the skills and experiences needed to succeed in these fields.
Many people don't realise the variety of careers available within our industry, from technical and trade-based roles through to operations, project management and leadership positions.
What do you enjoy most about introducing students to those opportunities?
What excites me most is that our teams regularly work in many of the communities the students come from, creating a meaningful connection between their backgrounds and future career opportunities.
It's incredibly rewarding to help students see what's possible and support them in building confidence as they consider their next steps.
What has been your favourite moment since becoming involved with NRL Cowboys House?
Without question, attending the annual Awards Night.
It's a privilege to be part of such a meaningful celebration of the students and their achievements. Hearing firsthand how they have grown and flourished through the support of their communities and NRL Cowboys House is truly inspiring.
I particularly enjoy learning about their personal journeys and the unique communities they represent. It really highlights the impact of the program and the strength of each student's story.
What are most looking forward to as a Friend of the Foundation?
We're excited to continue building relationships with students, staff and communities while creating greater awareness of the opportunities available within our industry.
Most importantly, we're looking forward to continuing our support of a program that is helping young people thrive and achieve their goals.
