They've been reinforcing support structures for over 100 years, and now the Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC) will support more than 100 Indigenous students at NRL Cowboys House as part of a new partnership with the Cowboys Community Foundation.
Through the partnership, the secondary students who board at NRL Cowboys House while attending 13 partner schools in Townsville will have access to employment and training opportunities in the manufacturing, sales and distribution sector.
The striking 2023 NRL Cowboys House polo shirt, designed by Mornington Island artist Renee Wilson, will also feature the ARC logo on the sleeve.
The partnership reflects an alignment of values between ARC and the Cowboys Community Foundation, with ARC’s strength in diversity encompassing core values of family, sustainability and change.
ARC Regional Manager, North Queensland John Reeves and ARC General Manager Sean Mannering saw an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of NRL Cowboys House students after touring and experiencing the unique boarding facility.

“ARC is looking forward to contributing to the lives of students at NRL Cowboys House, their families, communities and the local economy through access to education, training and employment,” Mr Reeves said.
“Supporting our wider community and the young people at NRL Cowboys House in particular, leads to amazing opportunities, great outcomes for all stakeholders and develops and creates the relationships we all need to make a difference.
“After a tour of the facilities it was a no brainer to put our name next to such a dedicated organisation; we believe the Cowboys Community Foundation is a great cause, doing exceptional work, and ARC wishes to be a part of this journey.”
ARC representatives were proudly in attendance at the NRL Cowboys House shirt presentation event for students and staff.
Cowboys Community Foundation Director Fiona Pelling said partnering with ARC will open new doors for students at NRL Cowboys House.
“It’s fantastic to welcome ARC to our growing partner family, and to see their passion for providing real opportunities for our Indigenous students,” she said.
“This partnership will play a pivotal role in helping us create meaningful outcomes through gainful employment and further training.
“We look forward to seeing what ARC and our students can achieve together.”
The NRL Cowboys House polo features artist Renee Wilson’s design entitled ‘Mundarlbi’, and is part of the Cowboys’ 2023 Indigenous range on sale closer to NRL Indigenous Round (Round 12).
