Staff and students from NRL Cowboys House will take on a critical new role in collaboration with Queensland Country Bank Stadium (QCBS) at tonight’s much-anticipated Jelly Roll concert.

Eleven House staff members and 16 hand-selected boarders will be supporting the QCBS event team as part of their safety protocols.

NRL Cowboys House General Manager Rochelle Jones said the ‘House Hydration Team’ will be on hand to ensure concertgoers have plenty of water.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our young people and our staff to be part of something huge for Townsville,” she said.

“Our students come from some of the most remote communities in Australia with populations as small as 200 people, so the scale of this event is unlike anything they would experience.

And it’s just the beginning of an exciting collaboration that we look forward to continuing at future events.”

Queensland Country Bank Stadium General Manager Cameron Jones said ‘Sunburnt Country presents Jelly Roll’ is shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the year.

“Queensland Country Bank Stadium is excited to again work alongside Cowboys Community Foundation and play a role in supporting and enhancing the local community,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with the team tomorrow night as they volunteer to keep our patrons hydrated during the show and ensure everyone has a great night.”

On top of the House Hydration Team, Jelly Roll’s promoters have selected Cowboys Community Foundation as the Charity of Choice for all 10c refunds generated through the Stadium’s Containers for Change initiative during the event.

It’s a continuation of a strong recycling relationship which saw 245,748 drink containers recycled across all 2025 Cowboys home and over $24,000 raised to support the Foundation’s life-changing community programs.

Cowboys Community Foundation CEO Fiona Pelling said the benefits of the collaborations were far-reaching.

“It’s taken a community effort to make this concert a reality, and we’re excited to be working together hand-in-hand with Queensland Country Bank Stadium again to make the experience safe and enjoyable for everyone,” she said.

“It’s going to be a packed-out event so please remember to drink lots of water and place your empty drink containers in the green bins around the stadium – that way you’re helping others while also having a great time. Every container makes a difference.”

The House Hydration Team will be wearing purple 'Tagai’ NRL Cowboys House shirts and will be stationed on the field.
