Fun, Fitness, Friendship and Community
Over 17-18 May 2025, passionate community advocates Michael, Gerhard, Wes, Jimmy and Sean hiked 105km over 46 hours across some of North Queensland's toughest terrain to raise funds for the Cowboys Community Foundation. Donate to support their incredible effort now!
They traversed the lush and remote rainforest of Paluma, encountering a mix of challenging and picturesque landscapes, making the journey both demanding and visually stunning. The 53-kilometre off-trail section was a huge challenge, taking them from Paluma, all the way to Forestry Road in Bluewater with a good part completed during the night, which has never been attempted before.

Donations in support of this adventurous trek for charity can be made here on the dedicated fundraising page (no cash donations please) and support education, social and health outcomes for North Queenslanders through education-based programs, including NRL Cowboys House.
Donations over $2 are tax-deductible and you'll receive a receipt by email on completion of your donation.
Townsville Hike & Explore has chosen to raise funds for the Cowboys Community Foundation, specifically NRL Cowboys House, because of their commitment to providing education opportunities and support for young Indigenous students from remote communities. This initiative aligns with our values of community support and empowerment.
