GALLERY: Activities delight at NAIDOC Day

The second annual NRL Cowboys House NAIDOC Day has left an indelible mark on those who came along to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as a House family.

More than 100 family members travelled from 26 remote communities to share in the cultural activities and workshops run by NRL Cowboys House students, families and local community members.

House partners and supporters also played their part in the day which aligned with this year’s NAIDOC theme, Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! encouraging communities to come together as one and fight for positive change for First Nations People.

The day culminated in an extraordinary display of culture through dance as troupes from across North Queensland put on a performance to remember.

NAIDOC Day was made possible with grant funding by National indigenous Australians Agency and Stockland.
