Hundreds gathered at NRL Cowboys House Girls Campus as NAIDOC Day came alive with dancers from across North Queensland taking the stage to share the customs and traditions of their communities through dance.

Four groups – Mornington Island Dancers, Komet Dancers, Seisia Kayin Thithuil Dance Group and NRL Cowboys House dance troupes – wowed the crowd with stirring performances that got the audience up and dancing.

Young and the young at heart joined the dancers on stage to learn and share the cultural significance of the performances, as the second annual NAIDOC Day at NRL Cowboys House wound down.

NAIDOC Day was made possible with grant funding by National indigenous Australians Agency and Stockland.
