Bennelong Cup opens doors
NRL Cowboys House and the Bennelong Cup are proud to share a very important cause – supporting young Indigenous students in their transition from school to work.
Education facilitator Jacqueline Coxon and career transitions officer Antonio Winterstein represented the House at the third annual Bennelong Cup in Sydney last month, accepting a generous donation that will support the students in their pursuit of secondary education and a successful transition to further studies or paid employment.
The Bennelong Cup is an annual day of touch football and a lunch that raises awareness and funds for the NRL’s Indigenous School to Work Program, Souths Cares and NRL Cowboys House.
A record 14 teams and almost 170 players participated in 2020, each team comprising 12 players from companies within the facilities management and related industries, and captained by a former or current NRL star.
NRL Cowboys House thanks Bennelong Energy Services, Hutchinsons Builders and all partners, players and supporters involved for their contribution.
