Thank-you, CommBank Willows!

We are very grateful for the support NRL Cowboys House receives from individuals, groups and businesses and would like to thank Commonwealth Bank Willows for their generosity.

NRL Cowboys House was selected by staff from Commonwealth Bank Willows, located in Townsville at Thuringowa Central, to receive a Grant of $10,000, raised through their employee giving program.

Our director Fiona Pelling said that the grant will benefit the Indigenous students who call NRL Cowboys House home.

“Because of generous donations like this, our students, who come from remote communities, can experience education equity.”

“We are truly humbled that the staff at Commonwealth Bank Willows nominated us as a charity they saw value in,” Fiona said.

In her communication to Fiona announcing the grant allocation, branch manager Natalie Orlicki said that it is CommBank’s way of recognising the House’s contribution to the community.

“This is our way of saying thank you for everything you and your team do for your local community.”

Commonwealth Bank has partnered with CommBank Foundation to provide 1000 community organisations across Australia with the $10,000 grant.

“As part of our centenary of giving, to recognise the immense contributions our people and organisations like Cowboy House are making to our communities,” Natalie said.

Thank-you to the team at CommBank Thuringowa Central branch for choosing us as the grant recipients – your generosity will have a positive and direct impact on NRL Cowboys House!
